Sanitary District Electric Vehicle Charging Station

Sanitary District Electric Vehicle Charging Station

CR Engineers provided electrical engineering design services for the addition of two electric vehicle (EV) charging stations for employees at the Fountain Hills Sanitary District Waste Water Treatment Plant. In addition, another EV charger was placed inside a maintenance building . The project required 30-day metered load studies on two existing distribution panelboards to confirm electrical load availability to add a circuit for each of the new EV charging stations. A dual-port, fast Level 2 EV charging station was located near the employee parking lot and powered from the existing Operator Control Building. Design for additional electrical conduit infrastructure was included at this location for future EV charging stations. The second EV charging station is a single port unit located inside the Laboratory Building garage for company vehicles.
