As a family-owned business, Catherine Alcorn has been working at CR Engineers since its inception. Born and raised in Arizona, she received her Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Arizona State University. Catherine became President of CR Engineers in 2005 and is a registered Professional Electrical Engineer in the States of Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, and New Mexico.

She has over twenty-seven years of experience in a wide variety of electrical and special systems design. Her areas of expertise include aviation ground lighting systems, sports, and recreational lighting, electrical infrastructure, and instrumentation systems for water facilities.

She is a past president of the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) of Arizona, has previously served for 8 years on its board of directors, and currently is a corporate member of the Arizona Airports Association (AZAA) and the American Public Works Association (APWA). Married since 1997 to John Alcorn Jr., they have two beautiful children.

John G. Alcorn Jr. joined CR Engineers in 1998 and is a registered Professional Electrical Engineer in the States of Arizona, California, Kansas, and Texas. Originally from Maine, he received a full scholarship for baseball at the University of Maine. John has both a Bachelor of Health Science from the University of Arizona and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Arizona State University.

He has experience in building power distribution, electrical facilities for light rail, roadway, and other transportation-related projects; photovoltaic systems; and communication/security systems designs. John completed APS’s extensive design course – “APS and University of New Mexico Solar Design and NEC Code Compliance”. John serves on the board of directors for the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) of Arizona and is a member of the American Public Works Association (APWA).

John remains an avid loyal fan of all New England-based professional sports teams as well as both the UofA Wildcats and ASU Sun Devils. John spends time coaching his children in sports and volunteers for the Fountain Hills Little League, in which CR Engineers provides sponsorship.
